My two cents: have the normal schedule proceed Monday-Friday, then have makeup picks from M-F made on the weekends. In all likelihood, those who miss picks M-F are also those who have more free time Saturday and Sunday.
Looking at the way things would work out, going Monday-Friday would mean we would go rounds 3-7 ending next Friday 8/17 and then anyone who misses picks in rounds 3-7 would make them up on the 18th and 19th before resuming the schedule on the 20th.
Admittedly, this idea just came to me so there may be a few flaws but it seems like the beginning of a good compromise.

In this scenario they'd be asked to wait on making up their picks for days (aka until after all the scheduled picks have had a chance to be made.) That's a bit too harsh. They need to be able to make up the pick as soon as able, otherwise that is a STIFF penalty. My intention is not to penalize anyone, but rather, just to help move this along in a timely manner. Additionally, as long as we have no one skipped we can pick ahead of schedule. In that scenario we'd be forcing the schedule to be behind until the weekend. |
